Amman, Jordan: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote a healthy and balanced work environment, Bank ABC in Jordan held a training workshop entitled “Mental Health in the Workplace”, aimed at highlighting its importance and encouraging employees to express their feelings and address psychological challenges in a positive and safe manner.
The workshop covered several awareness topics, including identifying signs of psychological stress, methods of coping with it, the importance of mutual emotional support among colleagues and the role of institutions in providing a mentally supportive work environment. The workshop was delivered by a group of mental health specialists who shared practical experiences and scientific guidance to help employees enhance their well-being and improve their quality of professional life.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. George Farah Sofia, General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, said: “We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. Through this workshop, we aim to break the silence surrounding this topic and create a work environment where everyone feels safe and supported. Investing in employees’ well-being is an investment in the success of the institution”.
This initiative comes as part of a series of activities implemented by the Bank to raise awareness about mental health and to provide employees with the necessary support at all levels.
